I attended CSW69 in New York for the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Platform, representing Girl Up alongside organizations like Girl Scouts USA and the United Network of Young Peacebuilders. Amid back-to-back sessions, it was the small, human moments that stayed with me—the ladybug tattoo on a diplomat’s wrist, hurried Band-Aids from blistered feet, lipstick touches before meetings, two-minute meals, and the relief of hearing my native language—that brought this high-level work to life.

Também defendo maior participação de jovens de até 22 anos e o uso de TikTok e YouTube para engajar esse público na luta pelos direitos das garotas.

I spent years chasing power—publishing books, leading projects, stacking achievements—only to overlook the people I love most. Isolated by fear of illness, I saw how my arrogance had silenced my sister, my mother, and friends in need. I’ve learned that true power isn’t dominance but empathy and kindness: showing up for others, believing in them, and growing together.
Reflections of a Young Feminist Lost in Mexico
At 19, I found myself overwhelmed—and empowered—by the Generation Equality Forum in Mexico. With more than 70 sessions in one day, it was clear: women are everywhere, in every field, and feminism touches everything. But the space didn’t fully reflect youth voices. I called for more inclusion of girls under 22 and for meeting them where they are—on platforms like TikTok and YouTube. The future of feminism is not just about who’s already at the table—it’s about pulling up chairs for those not yet invited.

I am a gender advocate since 2019 when I founded the first UNF Girl Up club in Brasilia, Nations Girl Up. I believe that girls and women will change the world. For this reason, I have created Girls Give Forward, a scholarship and accountability fund for girls and young women.
