An apology to Idlers — like myself
I’m spending my final semester almost idle—a single light class, no frantic hustle—and feeling guilty as friends chase big titles and VC deals. Inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson, I argue that constant busyness is hollow signaling; real growth comes from boredom, reflection, and moving at my own pace. I’m learning to value myself beyond grades and grind, even if I’m still figuring it out.
